A Gala Dinner for the participants was held at the beautiful and rich residence of the Mayor of Ambon City, and hosted by the Mayor of Ambon City, Bapak Papilaya.
Participants were welcomed by Bapak Papilaya and Chairperson Mr Rick Setter before the important signing of the MOU agreement. The MOU is between the Ambon City Government, the Darwin to Ambon Yacht Race & Rally committee on behalf of the Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association Inc., and Ibu Hellen de Lima on behalf of PT Sandy de Lima Tour & Travel. The MOU will ensure the continued support of all parties to ensure the Darwin to Ambon Yacht Race & Rally continues into the future and yachties enjoy sailing through the wonderful islands of Indonesia.
The official signing of the MOU documents was toasted with a Bintang provided for by our welcomed Indonesian sponsor Bintang. The yachties certainly approved of the new sponsor to the event. Following the signing, Bapak Papilaya opened his residence to a wonderful dinner, dance and music.
The DBCYA Commodore showed his style of dancing, while others joined the singing and enjoyed the evening.
