On Wednesday 20th July, the Nothern Territory Government hosted a reception for the participants, officials and supporters of the 2011 Darwin to Ambon Yacht Race & Rally. The reception was hosted by Dr Christopher Burns MLA in the Nitmiluk Lounge, Parliament House.
The Northern Territory Government is proud to have been a major sponsor of the event for over 25 years. Other sponsors represented on the evening included DBCYA committee and members, our Indonesian partners, DCC representatives, the Darwin Port Corporation, the Yacht Shop and JR/ Duty Free. Sailing to Indonesia is an important, annual event in the Darwin community program.
